A college student named Kaoru Hanabishi, who resides alone, encountered a bewildered girl dressed in a kimono at a train station. Despite being a stranger, Kaoru offered to assist her in locating the address she sought, which happened to be situated near his own residence. However, upon reaching the location, he discovered that it was an empty lot. Not knowing what action to take next, Kaoru invited the distraught girl to his apartment and requested additional information regarding her destination. She presented him with a photograph of two children, which Kaoru immediately recognized as himself and Aoi Sakuraba, his childhood friend. It transpired that the individual in front of him was indeed Aoi Sakuraba herself, his fiancée who journeyed to Tokyo to wed him. Her disclosure not only astonished but also evoked the deepest recollections of Kaoru's past, prompting him to recall why he departed from the Hanabishi family in the first place.
