In 1982, it was planned for Youkai Ningen Bem to have a sequel TV series with 26 episodes. However, the original producers disbanded, leading Topcraft to take over the animation. Two episodes were produced but the project was shut down before airing on television. The episodes were eventually released to the public in an LD-Box Set ten years later. Only 2,000 units of this set were printed and all were sold out.
