A movie was made to commemorate Toei's 20th anniversary. In this film, a young boy who descends from the leader of the thieves depicted in "1001 Nights" teams up with 39 cats and a mouse to reclaim his family treasure from Ali Baba XXXIII, the grandson of the original Ali Baba. This is a reversal of the typical hero/villain roles found in the source material. The film is known for its thrilling action sequences and exaggerated cartoon style, which deviates from Toei's usual aesthetic.
