Chagum  

The second prince of the royal family is Chagum. He carries within him the egg of a defeated water spirit, which is believed to be responsible for the "Drought Sign" interpreted by the empire's star diviners. In order to preserve his family's honor, his father, the emperor, has silently condemned him to death. To safeguard Chagum's life and escape from the imperial palace, the empress enlisted Balsa's assistance.
