In the English dub, Opacho was a malnourished baby found by Hao in South Africa. Adopted and raised by him, she follows Hao closely and often receives his confidences about plans involving Yoh and his powers. Although her abilities are still unpolished, she possesses clairvoyance, illusion projection, and mind-reading capabilities in the manga. As part of Hoshigumi, Opacho supports Hao loyally during the Shaman Tournament, though her attack power is never disclosed. However, near the end of the anime series, after Hao gains the Great Spirits Power, Opacho notices a change in him and flees from him. Her last appearance in the anime is in episode 64 as she watches the Destiny Star pass by. She is one of the few survivors of Hoshigumi, with Mama serving as her spirit companion.
