Kaoru mizuno belongs to the shimon famiglia and previously went to shimon middle school before transferring to namimori due to an earthquake in his area. the family decided on namimori because it's less prone to earthquakes and they received an invitation to attend the vongola decimos inheritance ceremony. kaoru is the oldest of seven students who transferred to namimori middle school. he was paired with yamamoto to safeguard tsuna by patrolling sports facilities in namimori middle school.
