Ludger is a twenty-year-old man who lives with his older brother julius in trigraph, elenpios. he has an exceptional talent for cooking and begins to face financial difficulties on his first day at work when julius disappears. ludger is the protagonist of tales of xillia 2 and possesses a unique ability known as corpse shell, which enhances both his appearance and combat skills. his weapons include dual swords, pistols, and a hammer. ludger wears a blue dress shirt with folded sleeves, brown suspenders, yellow necktie, and black trousers adorned with a blue feather on the back. he has green eyes and yellow rings surrounding his pupil, similar to elle's trait. although they are brothers, julius does not share the same resemblance. his silver hair with black ends on the right is inverted compared to novas's hair color. in the manga, ludger is depicted as a dependable individual who cherishes his brother but tends to act impulsively.
