While both Beat and Neku are the same age, they have distinct personalities. Beat can be impulsive and prone to emotional outbursts, whereas Neku tends to be more reserved and calculated. Despite this, Beat has a kind heart and is always ready for combat with Rhyme by his side. He doesn't like his given name, Daisukenojo, and prefers to be called Beat instead because he finds it cooler and less embarrassing.
