Neku is a reserved, contemplative individual who initially appears aloof and indifferent towards others. At first glance, he seems to desire solitude and shuns social interactions. His interests include listening to music and creating abstract graffiti art. Upon waking up in Shibuya, Neku discovers that he suffers from amnesia and is unable to recall why or how he arrived there. Gradually, his memory returns as each day passes.
