Daiki is a childhood friend of Ninako who harbors romantic feelings towards her at the start of the story. His parents divorced when they were in middle school, leading him to reside with his father. As a result of this separation, he grew emotionally attached to Ninako, which explains the depth of his feelings for her. Meanwhile, his relationship with his older sister, Mayuka, weakened due to their differing personalities and interests. In later chapters, Daiki begins dating Sayumi, ultimately falling in love with her.
