In the anime, Asako is a well-known actress who was once in a relationship with Reis girlfriend, which eventually led to his downfall. Despite not knowing that Rei would become homeless, Asako wants to rekindle their romance when she finds him again. However, Rei reveals that he's now with Sana and cannot be with Asako until Sana matures. With the help of Akito, Sana realizes that Rei is not her pimp or boyfriend, allowing Asako and Rei to reunite. Throughout the series, Asako continues to appear.
