The main character in the series, known as Serena or Bunny in different versions, is Usagi Tsukino, a schoolgirl with an immense capacity for love who transforms into Sailor Moon. Initially portrayed as an immature and emotional crybaby who dislikes fighting, she gradually reveals her kind-hearted and selfless nature throughout the series. Despite being somewhat selfish, lazy, clumsy, academically unsuccessful, and inept at cooking, Usagi deeply cares for her friends and family. She is highly trusting and believes that everyone has a good side, refusing to kill innocent people even when they have been transformed into monsters. Through the course of the series, she matures significantly and becomes a capable young woman, while still exhibiting some childish behavior and moments of silliness.
