Rushuna Tendou is a 16-year-old senshi who serves as Tenshis body double. Trained in the use of a revolver, she specializes in shooting to disable rather than kill. She fights to end strife and chaos with her excellent tactical analytical skills, which allow her to discern her opponents weaknesses in battle and exploit them with her tools. Rushuna also hugs difficult-to-negotiate opponents to pacify them. Despite appearing older, she has a weakness for hot baths and indulges in this pursuit frequently. She earns the title "Grenadier, the smiling Senshi" from Tenshi at the end of the series due to her fan service, which often takes innovative forms such as storing ammunition in her cleavage. Her first name may be a reference to a Rushana Buddha, while her surname means "heavenly path," fitting for her status as a traveler. In the manga, it is suggested that Rushuna may be a foreigner due to her natural blonde hair and large bust, although she was actually trained by Soun.
