While observing two saints in combat, Linley discovered Bebe, who was being attacked by an Earth-style Earthen World Protector spell. The two saints ceased their fighting and departed, but the magical spell persisted and targeted Bebe. Linley intervened and saved him, earning his gratitude. A few days later, Linley encountered Bebe again as he ran towards a jewel. This time, Linley captured him and enticed him to form a bond of equals with him through a piece of meat. As a result, they journeyed together to the Ernst Institute.
