The former bassist of Blasts was actually Trapnests guitarist. He is quite popular among fans due to his well-received music. Ren and Nana Osaki were once in a romantic relationship. Ren is an avid fan of the Sex Pistols, having participated in a tribute album dedicated to them. He wears a "Sid Vicious" padlock around his neck as a gift from Nana. In honor of him, Nana got a lotus tattoo on her upper arm. The brand of cigarettes Ren originally smoked was Seven Stars. Ren was discovered as an infant in an abandoned warehouse and has lived there ever since. He is not ashamed of this fact; instead, he boasts about it. Despite their similarities throughout the series, Ren openly expresses his love for Nana by asking for her hand in marriage and her back, while these thoughts only make Nana want to shout at him. In contrast, Ren desires a family and child, whereas Nana strongly dislikes the idea of being a dependent wife who makes miso soup all day.
