The first character to emerge from Amus Eggs is a lively and truthful individual known as Amu. She has long hair styled in a side ponytail and wears a pink sun visor, red cheerleader attire, and sports a heart-shaped clip on her hair. Amu dislikes being silent. During the Character Change process, Amu gains enhanced athletic abilities, which enable her to sprout wings at her wrists and ankles, allowing her to leap high into the air and take flight. Amu possesses a straightforward personality and openly confesses her feelings for Tadase during their first Character Transformation. When she transforms with Ran, Amu becomes "Amulet Heart," sporting a pink-themed cheerleader costume adorned with clover decorations that change to the color pink. Her special move is known as "Spiral Heart," which involves using the Heart Rod for execution. It was revealed on Peach-Pits' website before the release of Shugo Chara! volume 1 that Ran appeared in the series prior to its publication.
