Dune (also known as Shinigami-God of Death-Dune) was once a highly advanced robot who served as Luna's bodyguard. Despite being feared and hated by many due to his immense power, he remained fiercely loyal to Luna. However, when she was tragically killed by Casshern, Dune was left devastated and plagued by both physical and psychological ruin. Despite widespread rumors of Luna's death, Dune remains determined to find her once again and protect her. He first appears in episode 10, heavily damaged from the aftermath of Luna's death. Although his body has changed for the worse since then, he still possesses great power and is capable of defeating many robots with sharp blades that are expelled from his body.
