As a child, Nagisa had both a weak and fragile body as well as a heart condition, which prevented her from going outside or attending school. Most of her childhood was spent in bed at the hospital. One year before meeting Kimihiko Kimizuka, Nagisa received a heart transplant from an unknown donor whose identity would later be revealed to be Siesta. This donation also included one of Siesta's "Seven Tools," specifically the musket gun.
