Orihime's older brother is sora. at 15 years old, when orihime was born, sora left home due to abusive parents. since then, he has been raising her as if she were his daughter rather than his sister. when orihime turned 12 and entered middle school, sora bought her some hair pins as a gift. however, orihime rejected them because they seemed too childish. feeling down after this rejection, sora went for a walk but was hit by a car and died at the kurosaki clinic.
