Mamoru witnessed his father's suicide as a young child due to feelings of betrayal from business and social ventures. He grew up with a strong hatred for those who betrayed him, seeing them as harmful to society and deserving of death. This belief is reflected in his conversations with Rika and others, where he expounds on the idea that people who experience betrayal deserve to die. As a result, Mamoru has a deep fear of betrayal and takes extreme measures to avoid it.
