Shizukas mother, commonly known as Mrs. Minamoto, is a kind woman who shows affection towards Shizuka and her friends. She frequently appears in the anime series. In several episodes where Nobita visits Shizukas house for various reasons such as showing off gadgets or calling her to his home for homework or play, Mrs. Minamoto can often be seen telling Nobita that she has gone to the library, market, piano/violin class, or is with Dekisugi.
