Mia Luna Tearmoon is a princess in the Tearmoon Empire who becomes a victim of revolutionaries after being executed by guillotine. She wakes up and finds herself back in her past, before the fall of the empire that led to her death. She discovers her bloodied diary from the future and decides to use it to alter events to prevent her execution again.
