Charys, previously known as Ifrit, was a powerful spirit who ruled over flames. He lived in Dwelling of the Spirit until he was stolen by Leon Cromwell, the "Platinum Devil." As a result of this theft, Charys was sealed within Shizue Izawa, which granted her an extended lifespan. Charys as Ifrit had a Special A rank and was protected by a maelstrom of flames that surrounded him. The heat from these flames was so intense that even Rimurus' water blade evaporated before it made contact. After being named and evolved, his magicules exploded, making him greater than unawakened demon lords like Frey or Carrion. Charys is known for his Fire Manipulation Combustion Ranged Barrier Body Double Flare Circle, which is a powerful technique that can be used to protect himself and others from harm. The name "Ifrit" comes from the supernatural creature associated with fire in Middle Eastern stories.
