Ian McGregor, Olam McGregor, アイアン・マイケル

Iron Michael, a heavyweight boxing champion, had his name changed from Michael to Ian McGregor (Ian MacGregor) and later Olam McGregor in the anime and English version respectively. He was known for respectfully challenging strong opponents, even removing his gloves during fights. This is evident in his battle against Chiharu Shiba. Despite this, he held a special place for Brooklyn, his hometown. Unlike other fighters who used weapons or fought multiple opponents at once, Michael did not show any disdain towards them. He was passionate about boxing and admired the late God of Boxing John L. Sullivan (Johnny L. Donovan in the anime). In a scene where he was happy, he told Baki that he would be boxing again after three months. Michael believed that weight played a crucial role in exchanging blows. The reason for his imprisonment remains unknown.
