Maisy

The granddaughter of Kurt lives in Azalea Town in Johto and is featured in various games, anime, and manga series. She aided Ash, Brock, and Misty in collecting Apricorns for Custom Poké Balls. In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Gold met Maisy and her grandfather Kurt. Maisy expressed desire to capture a cute kind of Pokémon using a Friend Ball in the mountains but was unable to due to her grandfather's refusal. Kurt explained that his ancestors were once the only ones capable of creating Poké Balls until mass production became widespread. Gold found this frustrating, as he believed himself experienced enough to use special balls. Despite this, Kurt created a Friend Ball for Gold and the two ventured into the mountains in search of Maisy's desired Pokémon - a Teddiursa. Unfortunately, they encountered a wild Ursaring protecting its cub, necessitating the use of custom Heavy Balls by Silver to capture the bear Pokémon. After capturing the Ursaring, Gold presented Maisy with the Teddiursa. Later, the Masked Man kidnapped Maisy in an attempt to force Kurt to reveal the design plans for the GS Ball.
