Shouta is an ex-boyfriend of Kaede, but despite their breakup, he continues visiting her and bringing gifts from his mother who was unaware that they were no longer together. It appears that Shouta still harbors feelings for Kaede. He has become friends with Dino and often spends time with him at Kaede's apartment or elsewhere, even if she is not present. Additionally, Shouta seems to have a good relationship with Kaede's friend Yamada as well.
