In Sōsuke Aizens army, Di Roy is one of the five members of Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez Fracción. The remaining parts of his Hollow mask are a bulky helmet resembling a hammerhead shark's head. His right-hand side is bandaged, which covers his right eye; these bandages were meant to hide an injury inflicted by Grimmjow when he was still an Adjuchas. When the bandages are removed, there is a gash on top of his mask. His right eye resembles a normal Hollow's - a white circle surrounded by black shadows. He has square, shark-like teeth that give him a slight lisp. Di Roy carries his Zanpakutō in his hands during most of the screen time. Originally, he was a snake-like creature with a shark head matching the remnants of his mask. During his battle against Rukia Kuchiki, Di Roy stated that his true fighting style is on the sky, suggesting that he performs better there; however, many Arrancar prefer this method of combat. Despite being weaker due to Grimmjow eating part of him as an Adjuchas and thus stunting his growth, Yylfordt Granz dismissively referred to Di Roy as "an Arrancar in name only." He had to beg the rest of the group to join the invasion.
