In Azur Lane, Yamashiro is an antagonist who resembles IJN Yamashiro, a challenging-to-manipulate battleship from Japan's naval history. Despite being clumsy and prone to accidents, she shares her sister's reputation for bad luck. Her clumsiness serves as a reminder of the difficulty in controlling Yamashiro effectively. She sometimes fires unintentionally with her guns and is skilled at performing Kagura, a traditional Japanese dance. Additionally, she has a Kagura mask tied to her hair.
