Chi-Chi, also known as Mrs. Son Goku, is the wife of the famous Saiyan warrior, Son Goku, and the mother of their sons, Son Gohan and Son Goten. She is often portrayed as a concerned and protective figure who looks out for her family's well-being, even when their opinions differ. Chi-Chi and Goku first meet as children, with Goku promising to marry her in the future due to his misunderstanding of what marriage entails. Despite this miscommunication, Goku keeps his promise and asks Chi-Chi to marry him after he wins the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai tournament. As she grows older, Chi-Chi becomes increasingly disapproving of Goku's lifestyle choices, leading her to forbid Gohan from following in his father's footsteps. However, due to external threats such as Vegeta and Freeza, she is forced to allow Gohan to train under Piccolo and Goku. Chi-Chi later relaxes this rule with Goten by training him herself while Gohan is away at school. Known for her wild temper, Chi-Chi's anger can be triggered by even the slightest provocation, causing all of the Z Warriors to fear her and avoid making her mad.
