Souji Okita

Okita is one of the main characters in HSK and serves as captain of the first regiment of the Shinsengumi, a group of elite police officers during Japan's Meiji Restoration period. He also holds the rank of lieutenant alongside Hijikata. Okita has a relaxed personality and enjoys teasing his fellow officer, which sometimes annoys him. Despite their differences in personality, they seem to have a close bond as they have been members of the Shinsengumi for longer than most others. Additionally, Kaoru, another character in the series, has praised Okita's swordsmanship skills, making him one of the best swordsmen in the group.
