Five years ago, during the Kamikaku Island incident, she lost both parents and memory. The island was destroyed, leaving her as the sole survivor. Her wealthy maternal grandmother took her in out of concern for her well-being and to avoid her having to travel to school. To further assist her education, the grandmother employed tutors at home. However, knowing that she herself might not have much time left, the grandmother enrolled her in Kaihou Academy against her will. Despite being unhappy about it, she misses her home and feels distressed.
