Ekans, アーボ

Ekans is a purple serpentine Pokémon with yellow eyes, underbelly, and stripe around neck, as well as black lines encircling body and connecting to each slit-pupiled eye. It has a large mouth with round pink tongue and no visible teeth. A newborn Ekans' bite is not venomous, but it grows longer with age. This Pokémon lives in grassy savannas and plains where it moves stealthily through grass, as well as forests and desolate wastelands where it preys on Eggs from Pidgey and Spearow nests. It can also strike other prey from behind using its flicking tongue to detect danger and scent of prey. Its jaw detaches to swallow large prey but this meal can make Ekans too heavy to move or become stuck, causing it to faint. At night, Ekans wraps itself around tree branches to rest, while during the day it coils up to defend itself from all directions. In the second movie, Ekans was revealed to have some swimming abilities. Its signature move in Generation I was Glare.
