Takada, who has recently relocated from the countryside, joins class as a newcomer. Upon learning that Nishimura is referred to as "Grim Reaper", she becomes intrigued and tries to become friends with him. Despite others' attempts at bullying, Nishimura remains optimistic about Takada and seems unaware of the negative reactions from his classmates. His unwavering positivity may contribute to the show's title, but he is not entirely oblivious. He recognizes that his comments might have hurt Nishimura and realizes it was a misunderstanding on his part.
