Kunugi Renya, also known as "Demon Swordsman," is the main character in Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de. He was previously reincarnated into Eredora by God following his death at age 94 on Earth. Prior to his death, he was a highly skilled swordsman and the 14th successor of the Ittoryou Style of the Kunagi School. At just 13 years old, he became renowned as the best swordsman in his school. Afterward, Renya traveled to China to learn stealth and murder techniques, eventually becoming part of a dangerous underworld group. His actions led him to become infamous for killing many people, earning him the name "Demon Swordsman." During World War 1, he enlisted in the army and was recognized for his demonic strength after killing numerous individuals, standing on a mountain of corpses with only his katana. This achievement granted him various recognitions from the militia and sent him to multiple battlefields. In Eredora, Renya was reincarnated into an 18-year-old male without any memories of his past life. Upon waking up, he found himself in Maismatic Forest on the Eastern Continent with only the recollections of his interaction with God after his death.
