The story revolves around 25-year-old hideki, owner of a daikon field in nerima ward of tokyo, known for its daikon cultivation. as kids, hideki, ichiro, and mako made a pact to perform in a concert at the dome where the current daikon field stands. one of the recurring jokes is about hideki's crush on his cousin mako. although he desires to marry her, he believes it's impossible due to the japanese constitution. even a lawyer deceived him into thinking that he could change the law.
