Yousuke Otoha is an unusual character in Japanese history and folklore who defies traditional hero archetypes. His background involves incest between him and his brother, the local yakuza boss, which has shaped his ruthless reputation as his enforcer. Despite suffering from post-traumatic amnesia, Otoha has taken on the role of Karas, a protector of Tokyo tasked with defending its inhabitants and youkai against Eko and Mikura. He possesses a pocket watch device that allows him to transform into different forms, such as flying as "Hishokaku" or fighting in a ninja-like form. As Karas, Otoha serves as the last line of defense against Eko. In his free time, he helps run a hospital for youkai.
