Joanne Harcourt is a second-year student at Weston College who belongs to the Red House. Previously, he was the Prefects Fag of Edgar Redmond. Despite being labeled as a liar by many students, Joanne struggles with low self-esteem. As a result, he adopts a reserved personality and believes that his only strength lies in reading. However, when he becomes Edgar Redmond's Fag, Joanne gains confidence and develops a friendly disposition towards others. He is prone to tears when reminded of the misunderstanding that led to his low self-esteem but eventually recovers.
