In School Rumble, Kozue is the only character who embodies the fashionable high school girl with tanned skin persona known as a Kogal. She is widely regarded as the most stylish girl in 2-C. Despite being quite athletic and participating in the girls relay, she initially adopts the Kogal look partially throughout the series. Kozue enjoys teasing Imadori, but it's unclear how serious her feelings for him are.
