Hikari is focused on beating kei in any competition, whether academic or physical. despite being a kind person who cares about others' enjoyment, she sometimes lacks common sense. she places second in 10th grade for grades but excels at everything except cooking and teaching. her stubbornness, pride, and hot-headed nature make her unafraid of challenges, especially those involving kei. although hikari can handle herself in a fight, kei becomes irritated when she puts herself in danger, treating her more like a girl than she does herself. hikari is dense when it comes to love, as kei is secretly in love with her but everyone else knows except for her. when yahiro revealed that kei was in love with her, hikari initially reacted with shock before later dismissing the idea as impossible due to their rivalry.
