The Kakei and Fuuchouin clans have had a 500-year alliance, with the Kakei serving as physicians and bodyguards to the Fuuchouin. When the main clan of Fuuchouin was attacked and destroyed, Juubei managed to get Kadsuki to safety but swore that he would become stronger to protect him. He belonged to Katsuki's gang, Fuuga, and followed him into VOLTS as well. However, for an unknown reason, Juubei could not follow Katsuki when he left Mugenjou. Juubei is a physician from the Kakei clan legacy and one of Makubex's elite, known as the New Four Kings. After being betrayed by Katsuki and abandoned, Juubei continued living in Mugenjou with his sister, who remained loyal to Makubex. He is famous for his needles that can heal wounds or kill with deadly accuracy. The Kakei clan has evolved its techniques over time, including using magnetism to control their needles. Juubei's most secret and forbidden technique is the "Kokushin," Black Needle.
