Ken Takakura, a young man, has been cursed by the ghost of "Turbo Grandma." The only way to lift this curse is by enticing the spirit out of its resting place through some form of competition. According to Takakura, he believes in extraterrestrial life and made a wager with Ayase, who supports supernatural entities, over whether UFOs or ghosts are real. As a result, Ayase has nicknamed him "Okarun," which is derived from the name of her favorite actor, Takakura Ken.
