The protagonist of the story is Terakomari, a vampire who lives as a recluse for three years before being appointed by the Empress to lead the 7th Unit of the Mulnite Imperial Army's ruffians and criminals. Although she is the second child in her family, she comes from a powerful and influential clan known as the Gandesbloods. However, Terakomari has an issue: she cannot consume blood, which renders her powerless and makes it difficult for her to lead her unit effectively. To avoid any potential rebellion among her troops, she must keep this secret hidden from them.
