Subaru quickly recognized Tomokas exceptional talent and dedication to basketball. Although her time at Keishin Academy was brief, she had become isolated in her previous school due to her obsession with winning. However, once she arrived at Keishin Academy, she found new friends and learned that success is not solely defined by victory on the court. Despite still loving basketball, Tomoka refused to play without her teammates by her side. Out of all the girls, it was Tomoka who developed a close relationship with Subaru and seemed to like him the most.
Tomokas playing style, known as "point forward," made her versatile on the court, but she struggled with effectively playing point guard due to her politeness towards teammates and fear of making mistakes while running plays. With Saki now occupying the point guard position, Tomoka could focus better on offense since she no longer had to think about strategy; instead, she simply needed to attack the defense because Saki handled all the thinking.
