A young girl from ais school took a picture of hitomi while photographing the moon with a telelens. she later bragged about it to her friend, claiming she had captured images of cat's eye. this conversation caused ai to panic. the girl, named kasumi, became determined to expose cat's eye's true nature and planned to go to the location of its next target with a camera. while at this location, kasumi got a good look at cat's eye's backside and believed that hitomi resembled the picture she had taken. she was further convinced when she saw hitomi playing around with some punks in the park. asatani noticed this too and took kazumi into her confidence. to gain access to the kisugi household, kasumi pretended that her father was away (it would be dangerous for a young girl to be alone at home). she asked ai to let her stay the night. however, the kisugi sisters cleverly deceived kasumi by making it seem like hitomi was still at home during cat's eye's mission.
