Tadashi Monono is an orphan who lost his family due to the Illumidas invasion. With no money for food, he decides to kill Harlock for the large bounty on his head in the Endless Road SSX series. Although Harlock defeats him in battle, he spares Tadashis life and invites him aboard the Arcadia. As a result of his low opinion of Tochirous cooking, Tadashi is given the job as ships cook. Eventually, he learns to pilot a Spacewolf and becomes Revi Bentselles big brother on the ship.
