Noe Isurugi is an unusual girl at Shinichirous school who first encounters him when he sees her picking silverberries from a tree for her pet chicken named Raigomaru, which lives in a coop on campus. Later, Shinichirou has to catch her as she jumps from the tree because she gets stuck and can't get down by herself. Despite this, Noe only feeds one of her chickens, saying that "it could fly" while the other cannot.
