Analyzer was originally an autonomous human-sized robot who worked at the EDF hospital. He later joined the Yamato crew on his own accord, believing it to be the only place where he could truly prove himself. Despite possessing advanced capabilities such as extending arms, separating into independent pieces, lifting and throwing enemy tanks, withstanding forcefields, and sensing various forms of energy, Analyzer struggled with controlling his behavior towards Yuki on several occasions. Although he was deeply in love with her, when she failed to reciprocate his feelings, he settled for friendship. Known as a wisecracker, Analyzer often formed a double-act with Dr. Sado. He also had the ability to become intoxicated and narrowly avoided disaster on one occasion. In 2199, Analyzer was an independent processor within Yamato's system, having no relationship with Yuki at that time.
