Harold is Echika's new partner on the search team, but unlike most assistants, he is a robot named Amicus who takes on the form of a young man. Amicus is a rare exception because he is a high-spec special model with exceptional observational skills that rival those of a detective. In addition to assisting Echika with her investigations, Amicus uses his natural observational abilities to help her solve cases. Although Amicus has a personality that is completely opposite to Echika's, she initially rejects him, but Amicus tries to bridge the gap by being more human-like in his behavior. Despite being a robot, Amicus has more human-like qualities than most humans, such as dressing up on his days off, going out, and being particular about what he eats. This makes him a character that is completely opposite from Echika.
