Jeff Bogard is a character from the Fatal Fury series who serves as an adoptive father to Terry and Andy Bogard. He was older than Geese Howard before his death and trained under master Tung Fu Rue at the Hakkyokuseiken school alongside Geese Howard and Cheng Sinzan. The three were known as the "Three Brothers of Godly Battle". At some point, Tung chose Jeff over Geese to inherit the secret techniques of the school due to his good heart. This decision angered Geese, who left swearing revenge on both Jeff and Tung. In 1981, Jeff returned to the USA with Tung and adopted two sons, Terry and Andy. While walking down the street, a car stopped them, and Geese's men attacked Jeff with knives, injuring him badly. Geese then jumped off the car and killed Jeff in front of his children. This tragedy motivated the Bogard brothers to travel around the world to learn martial arts so they could seek revenge against Geese Howard before participating in any tournament. Before starting any competition, they would pay their respects at Geese's grave.
