Eva Heinemann is Doctor Tenmas fiancée and daughter of the Director of Eisler Memorial Hospital. She leaves him after he's demoted for disobeying orders. After her father is killed by Johan, she tries to return but is rejected by Tenma, who has been promoted to Chief of Surgery due to staff shortages caused by the murder. Despite this rejection, Eva becomes an alcoholic and a three-time divorcee, using money from settlements to fund her lavish lifestyle. She burns down her house in a drunken rage and becomes involved in the investigation of the Monster. Although she doesn't suspect Tenma directly of causing her father's death, she lives for his suffering as revenge for rejecting her. Her relationship with him is obsessive. Throughout the series, Eva is targeted by Roberto.
